MASKS
The most important safety rule is, masks must be worn whenever you're on the field. We don't accept any EXCUSES.
If an individual has a mask violation they will be given a "time out" i.e. asked to sit out a game. Additional violations, by the same individual, will result in being barred from playing for the day. We will keep your entry fee and or rental charges.
If you see someone on the field without a mask, during play, yell "CEASE FIRE". If you hear "CEASE FIRE", stop playing and echo it so everyone on the field hears it. The refs will get the mask back on or get the individual off the field. They will then resume play.
BARREL PLUGS/GUN CONDOMS
The second most important rule is, when you're off the field your gun must have a barrel plug or gun condom on it. Cleaning your gun is not an exception to this rule. If you need to clean your gun you must first remove your pressure tank, discharge any gas remaining in your gun, and then you may remove your barrel plug/gun condom. Putting your gun's safety on IS NOT an acceptable alternative to the barrel plug/gun condom requirement.
The parking lot IS NOT a safe zone for firing your gun without a barrel plug/gun condom.
Repeated violations of this rule will lead to "time outs" and or being barred from play.
POINT BLANKS
The first of our good sportsmanship rules is, if you're less that 20 ft from another player, they don't know you're there and you have a don't miss shot, you should offer them a "point blank" instead of shooting them in the back 10 times. To offer them a "point blank" simply say "point blank". If they accept, they are eliminated without being shot. To decline a "point blank" you should run away or allow the other player to shoot first.
HEADSHOTS
Don't aim for peoples heads. Most peoples bodies are bigger anyway. We recommend some form of neck protection. A diaper, under ware, or duct tape. We hope that the "MEN" are wearing a cup.
BLIND FIRING
No gun firing around objects without looking. Most of the time the Ref is the one who gets hit.
FIELD HAZARDS
There is some cactus on the field, so be careful when you're crawling or kneeling down.
The greatest hazard comes from running into branches in the woods.
We have a no climbing rule. Don't climb the trees, building, tires or spools.

GAME RULES
ELIMINATIONS
A player is eliminated when a paintball hits them and breaks, leaving a quarter size mark on them. Paint spray doesn't count. Paint you pick up from leaning against a building or barrier doesn't count. Gun hits don't count, but breaks on any of your other equipment do. (mask, pod belts, shoes)
When you're been eliminated yell "hit" loudly, several times. This is an indication to whomever is shooting you that they can select another target. About half of the time when you're hit by a paintball it doesn't break, so check first before you yell hit. Once you yell "hit" you're eliminated whether the ball broke or not. "Hit" is a reserved word. That means it should only be used to indicate that you're an eliminated player.
Once you've been eliminated you should put your barrel plug in your gun, keep you mask on your face and head back to the staging area. If while you're returning to the staging area you get that "not so fresh" feeling that someone is about to shoot you again yell "hit" or "dead man". Try not to walk off the field between players who are shooting at each other, unless getting hit once wasn't enough.
PAINT CHECKS
We operate on the honor system here. The refs don't perform "paint checks". Their job is to enforce the safety rules. If you get hit in an area you can't visually access, access it with your hand. If your hand gets paint on it, the ball must have broken. If the hit is in an area you can't touch, ask a buddy. If you don't have a buddy nearby and you don't think it broke continue to play.
BUNKER
The second sportsmanship rule is the bunker rule. Whenever someone is inside a building or behind a spool, you can eliminate them by running up to the structure, banging on it, and yelling "bunker, bunker, bunker". The bunker rule doesn't apply to player standing on the outside of the buildings.
SEMIAUTOMATICS
For those players with semiautomatics, please limit yourself to 3 shot bursts. This allows you to hear other players screaming "hit" in between bursts.
STAGING AREA BOUNDARIES
Everything on this side of the screen is the staging area, therefore your gun must have a barrel plug in it Everything on the other side of the screen is the playing field, therefore your face must have a mask on it.
CHRONOGRAPHING
All guns must be chronographed before beginning play. Guns must be checked a second time during the lunch break. All guns must be adjusted to fire under 300 fps.
WAIVER
Everyone must sign a waiver before playing. Parents must sign for children under 17.
